To eradicate vaccine-preventable diseases by educating the community, advocating for evidence-based public policy and supporting immunization best practices.
The Immunization Partnership (TIP) supports families, physicians, and policymakers in making smart choices about protecting our community from vaccine-preventable diseases. By proactively preventing life-threatening diseases, Texans avoid burdening medical costs, and are better able to thrive in work and school. With a focus on improving immunization rates for children under the age of three and adolescents 11-17, TIP strives for universal coverage for the flu vaccine. TIP also serves communities across Texas through advocacy at the state-level. In San Antonio, TIP leads trainings to the general public and to health care providers on the latest in vaccine-related science and policy, trains local advocates on evidence-based legislation, and, in collaboration with the San Antonio Metro Health District, builds the capacity of a community-based immunization coalition. Through immunization, TIP impacts the health of a community for generations.
