Blessed Sacrament Academy

Since our founding in 1926 and our re-founding in 1989, by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, our mission continues with compassion, respect and acceptance to educate and encourage children, youth and families. Our programs provide a safety net for those who reach out to us daily. Our purpose is to guide them to a life of success, self-efficiency and an attitude of giving back.

Por Vida Academy Charter HS reaches out to students who, for whatever reason, are unable to attend a traditional high school. Through a holistic approach to education, they offer three alternative ways for those students to earn a high school diploma. Our Parents' Academy helps to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect with insights, empathy and understanding. Our goal is the help reduce the validated cases of child abuse in the San Antonio community and to decrease domestic violence. Our staff provides the tools and encouragement for families to stay together, provide a better future for their children and become healthy members of our community. The Child Development Center offers excellent early-childhood education at affordable rates for many parents to stay employed or stay in school. The Pre-K classes are enriched by resources from Alamo Workforce which includes STEM and reading-ready lesson plans.
